Inviting applications for the role of Manager – Breadth/depth Analytics, Analytics (Retail)
As the Breadth/Depth Analytics Manager, you will lead a team of analysts responsible for assessing product assortment breadth and depth across various categories and channels. You will play a critical role in optimizing range in-store inventory management leading to sales and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Work with analyst to analyze product assortment data and evaluate breadth and depth across categories, brands, and SKUs.
• Monitor and evaluate assortment performance metrics, such as sales, margin, and inventory turnover, and drive initiatives to improve performance.
• Develop and maintain models and algorithms to assess product assortment performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to understand industry trends and best practices related to product assortment.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and supply chain, to align assortment strategies with business objectives and customer preferences.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in product assortment.
• Provide strategic guidance and actionable insights to senior leadership based on data analysis, supporting decision-making processes.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in breadth/depth analytics and lead efforts to incorporate them into the team’s methodologies.
• Manages, maintains, reviews, and improves the SLAs, critical metrics and other Business and Customer Metrics in line with our business strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement, Process optimization, implement process standardization, simplification, and automation to enable efficient and effective delivery of Assortment analytics capabilities.
Tools and Technology
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Power BI)
• Experience with assortment planning software and tools
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Prior Retail analytics/Assortment (Breadth & depth) Analytics/Retail Operations experience/Range Management
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Proven track record of successfully leading analytical teams and driving impactful business outcomes through data-driven insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to execute and follow through on high-quality output, with limited oversight.
• Exceptional analytical & problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and driving results under tight deadlines.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and leverage systems and information to influence others
• Deep understanding of retail industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in assortment analytics.
