Role Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on SDET Lead who will set the standard for quality across our engineering teams. In this role, you’ll lead automation strategy, build test frameworks, and integrate testing within CI/CD pipelines. You will also mentor others, work with cross-functional teams, and help drive release quality and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, and API testing tools

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Sauce Labs)

  • Leverage GenAI tools or techniques to improve test coverage, generate test cases, and optimize testing workflows

  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product teams to ensure quality is baked in

  • Execute manual testing for complex or exploratory test scenarios

  • Define test strategies and plans across modules or end-to-end systems

  • Track test metrics, defects, and quality KPIs

  • Mentor junior testers and evangelize quality best practices

  • Be open to reassignments, shift changes, or work location flexibility per business needs

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent from reputed institutions

  • 6+ years in software testing/quality roles with strong focus on automation

  • Deep experience in API & UI automation

  • Proficiency in test design, coding, debugging

  • Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and codable deployment practices

  • Working experience or exposure to tech stack including:
     • Backend: Java, Spring / Spring Boot, REST, AWS
     • Middleware: Kafka ecosystem, Cassandra or NoSQL
     • Testing tools: JUnit, Gatling, Selenium, Playwright
     • DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Fortify
     • Others: JMeter, Groovy

  • Familiar with Agile (Scrum / Kanban) methodology

  • Strong fundamentals in Core Java, REST, and Cloud (especially AWS)

Salary Range

 Based on current industry data in India (especially in Gurugram region):

Senior / Highly Experienced Lead / Specialist ₹25,00,000 – ₹35,00,000+
