Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to join Baker Hughes in the role of Fabrication Sub-Contracts Manager. You will lead sub-contract efforts in large fabrication projects, working closely with Project Managers/Directors to ensure contract and financial objectives are met while protecting project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier and subcontractor lifecycle: qualification, tendering, proposal, negotiation & contract management.

• Develop frame agreements and detailed contracts. Lead cross-functional teams to design, negotiate, and finalize contractual terms.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; oversee day-to-day operations and third-party service engagements.

• Implement strategic contracting approaches to distribute risk appropriately. Shift from standard “back-to-back” contracts to more risk-informed arrangements.

• Support bid and proposal teams: define scope, evaluate risk, lead negotiations, and contribute to deal strategy.

• Monitor commercial risks and opportunities across the project; report on them and ensure mitigation.

• Collaborate with contract partnership teams on consortium agreements, subsea production, fullstream activities, and similar complex contracts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Commercial, Procurement, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.

• Minimum 5+ years experience in fabrication contract management within oil & gas or large‐scale construction/project environments.

• Strong knowledge of contract terms & conditions, supplier risk management, and negotiation techniques.

• Experience in an international or multi-stakeholder environment.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and manage complexity.
