Position: Junior Unreal Artist
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India

Reporting To: Manager – CGI

Role Overview

As a Junior Unreal Artist at Royal Enfield, you will be responsible for producing visually compelling real-time and static renders of motorcycle products. You will work with prepared 3D models and ready them for use in an Unreal Engine configurator, supporting internal design reviews, launches, and marketing initiatives. You’ll interface with teams in India and the UK across Product Strategy, Marketing, Design, and Sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to defined pipelines, technical standards, and production workflows.

• Meet deadlines without compromising quality in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare assets for real-time rendering: modelling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development.

• Implement level streaming, lighting setups, and manage scene blueprints in Unreal Engine.

• Use source control tools (e.g. Perforce) to manage assets and revisions.

• Collaborate with photographers, videographers, riders, and creative teams to capture references.

• Support content generation for marketing, regional campaigns, and social media.

• Create photoreal CGI stills, animations, and visual content aligned with brand identity.

• Assist the retouching team in post-production and final image delivery.

• Attend shoots or texture reference sessions as needed.

• Support internal CGI content needs and deliverables across campaigns.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum experience: 5 years in an automotive OEM or design studio environment.

• Technical expertise:
    • Proficient in Unreal Engine, particularly for asset setup and configurator workflows.
    • Strong skills in Autodesk 3ds Max, VRay (Chaos Group), and Adobe Photoshop.

• Deep attention to detail, consistent quality orientation, and problem-solving mindset.

• Excellent communication skills; ability to present complex concepts clearly.

• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adhere to tight schedules.

• (Desirable) Knowledge of photography, filmmaking, or content production workflows.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Animation, Digital Arts or equivalent.

Salary Range :

• Entry / Mid Level (3-7 years): ₹6,00,000 – ₹12,00,000 per annum

• Experienced / Senior (8+ years): ₹12,00,000 – ₹20,00,000+ per annum
