About the Company / Division

You’ll be part of GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business, which designs advanced grid technologies and systems to support worldwide electrification and the transition to clean energy.

Role Summary

As a DevOps QA Engineer, you will join the DevOps team and establish QA best practices, align testing with DevOps maturity goals, and drive quality through the CI/CD pipeline. You’ll work across teams to enhance software delivery, maintain compliance with industry standards (IEC, CMMI), and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and document DevOps best practices across development and deployment workflows

  • Integrate and maintain QA processes that uphold high quality standards

  • Define, track, and report KPIs for development and QA in new product cycles

  • Support measurement and progression of DevOps maturity metrics

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to strengthen CI/CD pipelines with built-in quality gates

  • Apply Agile methodologies for process efficiency and team collaboration

  • Ensure QA work complies with applicable standards and regulatory norms (e.g., IEC, CMMI)

  • Assist in tool configuration, migration, and orchestration in DevOps / QA environments

Basic / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 3 – 6 years of hands-on industry experience combining DevOps and QA

  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Ansible)

  • Knowledge in test automation frameworks (Robot, Behave, Cypress, TestComplete, or equivalents)

  • Scripting ability (Shell, Perl, or Python)

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

  • Demonstrated ability to switch between DevOps and QA responsibilities

  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills

Preferred / Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications in DevOps, QA, or related technologies

  • Experience in the energy / grid / power systems domain

  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance processes

  • Ability to share best practices and promote continuous improvement culture
