Position: Sr. Specialist, Cybersecurity – Network Security Testing
Location: Hyderabad, India

Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Network Security Specialist with 8+ years of experience in large-scale ISP or enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security, routing protocols, multi-vendor network devices, firewalls, and strong skills in test automation & network automation to improve testing efficiency, consistency, and coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve security issues in test and production networks, and propose security solutions

• Perform functional, integration, performance, and security testing on multi-vendor network systems and network elements

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to boost testing efficiency

• Automate repetitive tasks to improve test cycle reliability and speed

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to continuously validate security controls and features

• Create and maintain test plans, document results, report defects, and work closely with vendors, designers, and operations teams to resolve issues

• Drive continuous improvements in the network development life cycle through testing enhancements

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the automated testing infrastructure

• Evaluate and implement new automation tools and methodologies for testing

Key Technologies & Tools

• Routing protocols: BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP, static routing

• Router security features: ACLs, rate limiting, AAA, logging, etc.

• IPv4 & IPv6

• Test equipment: Keysight, Ixia, Spirent, Breaking Point

• Test automation tools: Pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, Jenkins, etc.

• Configuration/Automation tools: Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, Puppet

• Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell

• Version control: Git, GitLab, Bitbucket

• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps

• Logging & monitoring: Syslog, SNMP, gNMI, SIEM tools

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8 years in network security roles, working on large-scale networks

• Strong foundation in network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting)

• Hands-on experience with routing protocols, ACLs, AAA (TACACS, RADIUS)

• Familiarity with major vendor equipment (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)

• Knowledge of firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper)

• Proven experience developing automated test scripts for security validation

• Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD

• Proficient in scripting and network automation

• Solid troubleshooting, documentation, and defect analysis skills

• Ability to interpret and act on test automation failures

• Familiarity with industry best practices in automated testing
