About the Role
Meta is looking for a passionate Software Engineer, Product to join our Bangalore team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, and operations teams to build and scale features used by millions (or even billions) of users. You’ll work on new feature development, improve existing product components, advocate for performance, reliability, reusability, and help define the architecture of large-scale systems.

Work Description :

• Design, build, and ship high-quality product features (web & mobile)

• Create reusable components and interface layers for backend platforms

• Optimize code for performance, reliability, and maintainability

• Take ownership of components/systems with end-to-end responsibility

• Work with cross-functional teams (product, design, infra) to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Identify and resolve performance or scalability bottlenecks

• Lead technical efforts, mentor peers, and contribute to architectural decisions

Minimum Qualifications :

• 2+ years of programming experience in a relevant language

• Experience building large-scale applications or similar systems

• Ability to identify, design, and deliver medium to large features independently

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, or Hack)

• Experience delivering reliable, production-quality work

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

• Commitment to stay in the role/team in India for at least 24 months

Preferred Qualifications :

• Exposure to the architectural patterns used in large systems

• Experience with lower-level or statically typed languages like Java, C, C++, Swift, or Kotlin

• Strong grasp of system design, performance, scalability, and debugging
