Your Impact & Role Overview

As a Senior UX Designer at OpenText, you will join a highly experienced design team and partner closely with Product Management, Development, UX Research, and leadership. You will independently lead design efforts, bring product thinking into UX, and mentor junior designers. Your work will span multiple platforms, complex workflows, and emerging AI-informed features.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to deeply understand product domains, user problems, and business goals.

• Work with Product Management to define requirements, contribute to product backlog, and shape UX vision.

• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for complex multi-platform products.

• Create interactive prototypes and validate designs via usability testing (internal and external).

• Leverage AI tools / AI-informed design to accelerate ideation, simplify workflows, and improve user decision making.

• Advocate design thinking and foster a strong UX culture within teams.

• Mentor junior UX / UI designers — provide guidance on interaction, visual design, usability.

• Maintain design consistency through design systems, style guides, interaction patterns.

• Produce visual design assets (components, icons, illustrations) adhering to branding.

• Contribute to evolution of the organization’s design systems (interaction & visual aspects).

• Facilitate workshops, design reviews, critique sessions, and alignment across stakeholders.

• Drive feature prioritization, roadmap contributions, and tie UX work to business outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent (or demonstrated equivalent experience)

• 5+ years of experience designing interactions & interfaces for large-scale products / enterprise systems

• Strong ability to articulate design rationale and present to diverse stakeholders

• Proficiency in UX deliverables: flow diagrams, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, specs

• Experience creating user personas, usage scenarios, and translating them into designs

• Tools: Figma, FigJam (or equivalent)

• Ability to produce detailed visual design work consistent with brand/design systems

• Experience collaborating with distributed, cross-functional, and global teams

• Workshop facilitation, stakeholder alignment, and design thinking capability

• Experience conducting and interpreting usability tests, heuristic evaluations, accessibility standards (WCAG / Section 508)

• Prior work with enterprise or ECM (Enterprise Content Management) products is a plus

• Familiarity with AI in UX (tools, design implications) is preferred

• A strong portfolio with case studies showing depth in interaction design, problem solving, and visual execution
